Foxtel buys huge package from FremantleMedia
Australian pay TV operator Foxtel has acquired a 450-hour package of programming from FremantleMedia International.
The deal will give Foxtel content for several of its own channels and joint-venture offerings including Bio, History, CI, Lifestyle and Arena.
The package spans several genres of content. Factual titles include 16x30mins Morgan Spurlock series A Day in the Life, 7x60mins and film industry series Moguls and Movie Stars: A History of Hollywood.
Lifestyle shows include Jamie Oliver shows Jamie & Jimmy’s Food Fight Club, Jamie’s 30 Minute Meals and Jamie’s Food Escapes.
The new season of Project Runway is also included as is spin-off Project Runway: Under the Gunn.
Scripted fare covered by the deal includes a renewal for Kiwi soap Shortland Street.
