DreamWorks appoints Zoradi amid management shake-up
DreamWorks Animation has recruited former Disney executive Mark Zoradi as COO, sparking several senior management changes.
Zoradi, who is credited with being one of the executives that helped launch the Disney channel during his time at the Mouse House, will work across DreamWorks’ TV and feature films operations.
The company has been pushing heavily into TV in recent times, with a major production pact with Netflix the most notable deal. It has launched a dedicated production and distribution division DreamWorksTV unit and acquired YouTube channel operator AwesomenessTV.
Zoradi’s hire sees Ann Daly upped to president. Lew Coleman becomes vice chairman as well as remaining in his CFO role.
Jeffrey Katzenberg, DreamWorks Animation CEO (pictured) said: “With these new changes, coupled with our other incredibly accomplished recent senior hires – Michael Francis as chief global brand Officer and Margie Cohn as head of television, I’m very excited about the stellar calibre of our overall executive leadership team.”
