ITV’s Thinkfactory making reality series for AMC
Thinkfactory Media, the US prodco acquired by ITV Studios last year, has won a commission for a new reality show from AMC.
The US cable net has ordered 4th and Loud will follow the first-ever season of the LA Kiss arena football team, owned by rock star Gene Simmons. Arena football is a variant on American football, but is played on a smaller pitch. Simmons and business partners took on the LA franchise late last year.
AMC’s hour-long reality series will launch in August in a Tuesday 9pm slot.
At the ongoing summer TCA event AMC also said it has given a straight-to-series order to Badlands, a “genre-bending martial arts series very loosely based on the classic Chinese tale Journey to the West”.
AMC’s in-house production division, AMC Studios, will make the show and Entertainment One will sell it internationally under the terms of a pre-existing sales pact.
