French drama producer Atlantique Productions and the UK arm of Israel’s Keshet International are co-developing an 8x52mins drama.
Crater Lake is being billed as “a life-affirming, character-driven show about death” from author and MICE/Gordin Cell creator Ron Leshem.
Gordin Cell is being adapted in the US for broadcast network NBC as Allegiance, which picked up buzz at the LA Screenings in May.
Atlantique CEO Olivier Bibas (pictured) is executive producing Crater Lake along with creative director Patrick Nebout, Keshet Media Group CEO Avi Nir, Keshet International chief exec Alon Shtruzman and Keshet UK’s head of scripted Sara Johnson.
Atlantique’s track record in global scripted programming includes Borgia, Jo and Transporter, while Keshet UK launched in 2012 with former BSkyB and La Plante Productions exec Johnson as executive producer and scripted chief. Former DCD Media CEO Sammy Nourmand joined as COO in March.
