Super RTL takes German rights to Kate & Mim-Mim
German family channel Super RTL has acquired local broadcast, licensing and home entertainment rights to preschool series Kate & Mim-Mim.
The animated CG series will broadcast on the German net later this year after launching on CBeebies in the UK and BBC Kids and Knowledge Network this autumn.
Husband and wife team Scott and Julie Stewart created Kate & Mim-Mim, which follows a feisty young girl and her toy rabbit, who travel to a fantasy land where the toy comes alive. Nerd Corps Entertainment developed and produced the show, which FremantleMedia Kids & Family Entertainment distributes internationally outside of Canada.
“With its imaginative world, Kate & Mim-Mim is a perfect fit for our Toggolino pre-school line-up in the morning,” said Carsten Göttel, Super RTL’s programme director. “We are also looking forward to working with FremantleMedia on the licensing and exploring the various possibilities this new series offers.”
