News brief: Ukrainian channel to adapt MTV’s Catfish

Ukrainian network Novy Kanal is getting ready to adapt MTV’s online dating Catfish.

The channel, part of the Starlight Media Group, has struck a deal with Viacom International Media Networks to produce the factual reality series.

It goes into production later this month, and on air later this year. Season three of the originally US version (pictured) is currently rolling out international.

Meanwhile, Nice Entertainment Group-owned Strix Television and Endemol have become the first producers to option VIMN dating format Are You the One? for Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Holland; and Australia, respectively.
