News brief: China’s CCTV renews Globo soccer deal

CCTV has renewed a soccer rights deal with Brazilian media giant Globo.

The three-year deal means the Chinese pubcaster will continue to have coverage of games from the Brazilian League and the São Paulo State League until 2016.

The agreement also covers Globo’s football magazine shows FootBrazil Magazine and FootBrazil Highlights.
