Sky Vision branches out in Iberia, Italy and Lat-Am
Sky Vision, the content sales arm of UK pay TV operator BSkyB, has brought on consultants to boost its sales efforts in Iberia, Italy and Latin America.
Rome-based Simona Garibaldi will be Sky Vision’s senior sales consultant for Italian Speaking Europe. Garibaldi runs her own distribution business, Lilium.
Andres Zamora will sell Sky Vision titles into Iberia from his Madrid as senior sales consultant and, with the same title and also out of Madrid, Stefan Schmitz will handle distribution of Sky shows into Latin America.
Schmitz created Spain-based producer and distributor Avalon. His business and Garibaldi’s Lilium will continue to operate as independent concerns.
Leona Connell, head of global Sales at Sky Vision, said: “This is an exciting opportunity to further develop our business in these key territories and I’m sure their appointments will be fundamental to our continued success and growth.”
The appointments follow a restructure of the sales team at Sky Vision, which is now run by Jane Millichip (pictured) following Carl Hall’s return to the indie production sector. That rejig saw Olivier Jacquet become director, sales strategy and operations, Danny Tipping promoted to director of programming and development and commercial director Connie Hodson leave the company.
