Chambers joins Warner at Sony-backed Electric Ray
Meredith Chambers has joined Karl Warner at newly-formed UK production company Electric Ray.
Chambers will become managing director at the producer, alongside Warner who formed the company with backing from Sony Pictures Television in January.
Chambers will focus on producing factual content while Warner will focus on its entertainment output. The producer has yet to announce its first commission.
Chambers joins Electric Ray from Shed Media owned indie Twenty Twenty, where as creative director. His credits include First Dates for Channel 4 and Life Savers for the BBC.
Prior to that he was a commissioning editor at Channel 4.
Warner said: “Our plan has always been to bring the best of factual and entertainment together. We’ve been working towards this for ages and at last Meredith and I will be in the same place at the same time.”
Chambers added: “Karl’s an exciting creative and great fun to be around – I can’t wait to get started with him. With support from the team at Sony Pictures Television I hope that we can combine our reputations for producing innovative shows and build a successful slate for the UK and international broadcasters.”
