News brief: Transporter goes to Netflix

French Production group Lagardère Entertainment announced in Cannes that SVOD platform Netflix had acquired the US rights to the first two seasons of drama series Transporter, as season two is still in production.

Netflix, which already runs the original feature films by EuropaCorp, is also coproducing the new season.

The TV series is produced by Atlantique Productions and QVF Inc. in Canada for M6 in France and TNT in the US.

Netflix had also picked up the rights to Borgia, another international series from Atlantique for Canal+.
