Fox ups intn’l channels pair
Fox International Channels has promoted two of senior executives at its Asia Pacific and Middle East operations.
Joon Lee (left), who currently oversees all FIC channels, content and marketing in the Asia Pacific regon will now take on control of the company’s Hong Kong and Southeast Asia businesses.
All of the territory heads in those countries – including Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines – now report directly to Lee.
FIC has also elevated Simeon Dawes and he will take overall charge of the FIC business in the Middle East.
Dawes and Lee are both based in Hong Kong and will report to Zubin Gandevia, president of FIC for Asia Pacific and the Middle East.
“Joon has held various roles in the company and knows our business incredibly well,” said Gandevia. “Not only is he well-respected by his team but also by his peers as an exemplary leader, so he was a natural choice to lead our Hong Kong and Southeast Asia business. Simeon’s extensive experience and proven success in building partnerships and growing revenue also made him a natural choice to lead our Middle East business.”
Former FIC Asia chief Gandevia became Asia Pacific president last year when Ward Platt was made FIC COO and CEO of distributor National Geographic Channels International.
