Marvista poaches for development VP

US-based Marvista Entertainment has appointed a Martin Chase Productions exec to become its VP, development and production.

Gaylyn Fraiche is take up the newly created position as the company continues to expand its production assets. Fraiche will report to Marvista executive VP, production and development Robyn Synder.

While at Martin Chase, Fraiche produced several telemovies such as Saige Paints the Sky and McKenna Shoots for the Stars and coproduced Lemonade Mouth for Disney Channel.

Her appointment comes after Marvista appointed ex-Disney Television Animation VP Michael McGahey to the newly created position of VP, development and production for scripted series; and HBO’s Margret Huddleston as creative executive.

Marvista, which is behind series such as Disney Channel’s 16 Wishes and Nickelodeon’s Nicky Deuce, has also today added Danette Nelson as controller, finance.
