AMC reshuffles Chello Latin America post-deal
AMC Networks has placed Eduardo Zulueta (above left) in charge of Chello Latin America, with former incumbent Alejandro Harrison taking on a new business development role.
Zulueta, who is also managing director of Chello Multicanal, is expanding his duties to oversee the Chello business in Latin America and divide his time between Chello Multicanal’s Madrid office and Chello Latin America’s Buenos Aires and Miami offices.
His appointment comes as Harrison moves across to become president, business development for AMCN Chellomedia, which is the new trading name of Chello now it is part of US channel operator AMC Networks.
Based out of Buenos Aires, Harrison will focus on expanding AMCN Chellomedia content into new territories and onto new platforms and identifying M&A opportunities.
Zulueta and Harrison will continue to report to Ed Carroll, AMC Networks’ COO, who said: “Eduardo and Alejandro are strategic, seasoned executives. These new leadership roles will help us take advantage of their vision and operational skills as we continue to align and expand our global operations.”
AMC Networks completed its €750 million (US$1 billion) acquisition of Chellomedia last month.
Following this Dermot Shortt, managing director of Chello Zone; Mike Moriarty, managing director of Chello Central Europe; and Bruce Tuchman, president of international arm AMC/Sundance Channel Global, will also continue to report to Carroll.
