News brief: Rai Gulp backs Sendokai Champions

Italian kids channel Rai Gulp has acquired animated action series Sendokai Champions from Spanish distributor Nottingham Forest.

The Rai channel will air the show from July following the deal. The show broadcasts in Spain on TV Clan and across Latin America on Cartoon Network. It is also set for the Vortexx programming block on The CW in the US, Canal Panda in Portugal and MBC in the MENA region.

“Rai Gulp confirms to rely on the potential of Sendokai Champions and we’re confident that, thanks to the action and adventure that characterize the series, it will easily capture the attention of our target audience, especially the male one,” said Rai Raggazzi’s director Massimo Liofredi.
