History, ZDF, Story House team for Neanderthal Apocalypse

The North American History channels, ZDF Enterprises and prodco Story House are coproducing a new blue chip doc about what happened to an early sub species of human, Neanderthal Apocalypse.

The 2x50mins or 1x90mins doc will examine what happened to Neanderthals and whether they were wiped out by a super volcano.

ZDFE is handling international sales of the factual show, which is currently in production, and will start talking to buyers about it at MIPTV in April.

Nikolas Huelbusch, director of ZDFE.factual said: “This is a production which we feel will interest viewers around the world, seeing that the Neanderthalers might very well have won the evolutionary race, leaving homo sapiens behind in the dust.”
