News brief: The Returned goes back to Scandinavia

A trio of Scandinavian broadcasters has bought French paranormal drama The Returned (Les Revenants) from distributor Zodiak Rights.

Public channels YLE in Finland, NRK in Norway and Icelandic national broadcaster RUV have acquired the Haut et Court TV-produced show.

This comes after Swedish pubcaster SVT became one of the first international channels to acquire the series, which first ran on France’s Canal+.

Other early buyers included Channel 4 in the UK and SundanceTV (fka Sundance Channel) in the US. Overall, it has now sold in to more than 70 territories.
