Fox to launch Cosmos on all major US channels

CosmosFox in the US has followed suit from its international channels business by planning to simulcast factual series Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey across all of its main networks.

The show will debut on Sunday, March 9 at 9pm ET/PT on broadcast net Fox and cable channels National Geographic Channel, FX, FXX, FXM, Fox Sports 1, Fox Sports 2, Nat Geo Wild, Nat Geo Mundo and FOX Life.

Fox Networks Group’s chairman and CEO Peter Rice described the move as “the biggest launch we’ve ever orchestrated”.

The following episodes of the show will go out on Fox on Sundays and Nat Geo Channel on Mondays.

Internationally, Fox International Channels and National Geographic Channels International have prepared a similar scale launch for the Seth Macfarlane-exec produced show.

Cosmos – a coproduction of Cosmos Studios, Nat Geo and MacFarlane’s Fuzzy Door Productions – will launch on 90 Nat Geo Channels in 180 territories and on 120 FIC-branded networks in 125 territories globally.
