MIPTV to launch Kids TV Summit

Reed MIDEM will hold a one-day summit focusing on how digital disruption is effecting both the production and distribution of children’s TV programming.

The Future of Kids TV Summit will take place on Tuesday, April 8 at the Carlton Hotel in Cannes, sponsored by Canadian investment fund Shaw Rocket Fund.

Reed MIDEM says the event will bring together 80 creative strategists and the first confirmed keynote speaker is Yoni Bloch, CEO and co-founder of interactive media company Interlude.

Participants from Cartoon Network, Disney, Nickelodeon, Toon Goggles, ABC TV, De Agostini Editore, Super RTL, KI.KA ARD/ZDF, NRK Super, TVO, Teletoon, DR, and TV2 in Norway, along with online giants Google/YouTube are already confirmed.

MIPTV is traditionally focused on its formats and factual events, with MIPJunior in October at MIPCOM being Reed MIDEM’s key children’s TV event.
