News brief: KiKA, Qubo make Doki expedition

The animated series based on Discovery Kids’ mascot character Doki has been acquired by four broadcasters, including German kidscaster KiKA and Ion Media Networks-owned channel Qubo.

Horng En Culture-owned Taiwanese channel Hakka TV and Mediacorp in Singapore are the other buyers, the latter for its linear channel OKTO and VOD service Toggle.

Doki comes from The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That coproducer Portfolio Entertainment, which both produces and sells the 26x30mins/52x11mins toon.
