News brief: Asian nets take DHX package

Singapore’s MediaCorp has bought a 114-hour kids programming package from Canadian content firm DHX Media.

The library deal includes on-demand rights and is for shows such as Bo on the Go, Pirates Adventures in Art, Shezow and Sushi Pack. These shows will run on VOD service Toggle, while free TV channel OKTO has acquired Sheldon season six.

Meanwhile, DHX has sold a package of feature films to Disney Channel in Japan, seasons one and two of Super Why, seasons one to three of Animal Mechanicals and season one of Monster Math Squad.
