News brief: Global b’casters dip in for Tiny Square Critters

Broadcasters in Europe, Asia and Latin America have bought a Danish-produced children’s series from Irish distributor Monster Entertainment.

YLE Finland, EduCar in Argentina, Multimania TV in Russia, CIS, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia and WhyJ Contents in South Korea have all acquired Tiny Square Critters.

The 26x7mins preschool show launched at MIPJunior in October. It comes from Tiny Film. Each episode begins with a lesson in drawing animals and is set in a space familiar to 3-6s such as their nursery.

It represents Monster’s second collaboration with Tiny Film, coming after the non-verbal preschooler Originalos?.
