French sale for tattoo competition series

French digital terrestrial channel Numero 23 has picked up tattoo competition series Ink Master.

The show was made for Viacom’s male-skewed US cable channel Spike and hosted by is hosted by rock star Dave Navarro. It is produced by Original Media.

It features tattoo artists who compete against one another for a cash prize. Each episode features a different tattoo genre such as ‘tribal’ or ‘portrait’.

Endemol owns Original Media and sells the series worldwide and cut the Numero 23 deal. In the US, the fourth season of the show will debut early next year.

Numero 23 launched last year as one of six new French digital channels.
