Svensk Filmindustri consolidates and appoints Nordic boss
Scandinavian film and TV studio Svensk Filmindustri has organised all of its Nordic activities in one unit following a recent prodco acquisition and appointed a boss for the new unit.
SF recently bought production company Tre Vänner, which will be part of the new division alongside the existing film, TV and web productions in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland.
Charlotta Denward has been recruited as Nordic head of production.
She was previously SF’s head of production in Sweden and prior to that director of production and promotion at the Swedish Film Institute and a producer at Filmlance.
“Coproductions are very important for us,” she said. “To work with different production companies and producers provides us with a range of possibilities and diversity which we do not possess in-house. In addition, we will be able to intensify the cooperation between the local Nordic territories, which is very positive. Not the least from a creative point of view.”
