Best of British SVOD service Cirkus launches
Cirkus, the subscription VOD service for pay TV platforms, has launched on Swedish cable platform Com Hem.
The service went live as part of Com Hem’s new TiVo offer. Cirkus packages British content and has deals with ITV Studios, BBC Worldwide and All3Media among others, giving it shows including Sherlock, Midsomer Murders and Poirot.
Drama series Marchlands and The Syndicate will also be on Cirkus on Com Hem and have never before aired in Sweden.
Cirkus costs Com Hem customers SEK49 on a six-month contract or SEK79 a month without a long-term commitment.
“The idea with TiVo is to offer our customers the best TV experience possible by combining great content with smart functionality” said Com Hem’s director of TV and content, Simon Gate. “With Cirkus we are adding whole seasons of some of the most successful TV dramas in Sweden.”
“We have worked hard to develop a service that makes the very best of British TV available to Com Hem subscribers in a way that supports how they increasingly like to consume content – complete seasons, available on-demand, with episodes being able to be watched back-to-back.” said Mark Bradford, Co-Founder & Director of Cirkus.
TBI was the first to report about the creation of Cirkus in March.
