Fox appoints Setanta Africa CEO for Euro sports role

FOX International Channels Europe & Africa has appointed Setanta Sports veteran and former CEO of Setanta Africa, Kelly Butler, as senior VP of Fox Sports Europe & Africa.

The move follows FIC Europe & Africa’s buyout of Setanta Africa, which was approved by the Irish Competition Authority last month.

Butler, who has worked in different posts at Setanta Sports for the last 12 years – most recently as CEO, shareholder and director of Setanta Africa – will be based in London.

Previously Butler was head of programming at Setanta Sports, CEO of the Setanta Sports Channel in North America, and consultant for the North American Sports Network. Before joining Setanta she was senior VP and general manager of programming at ESPN Star Sports in Singapore.
