News brief: Paisner re-elected before International Emmys
Bruce Paisner has been re-elected president and CEO of the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, just hours before the likes of J.J. Abrams were celebrated at the International Emmys.
Paisner has been at the top of the academy, which organises the International Emmy Awards Gala, for the sixth time.
His re-appointment came hours before the 41st International Emmys, in which screenwriter and director Abrams was presented with International Emmy Founders Award and RTL Group Co-CEO Anke Schäferkordt was handed the International Emmy Directorate Award by heavyweight boxing champion Wladimir Klitschko.
Other awards went to Sky1 HD comedy Moone Boy, documentary 5 Broken Cameras, French-language supernatural drama Les Revenants (The Returned), Australian factual entertainment series Go Back to Where You Came From, telenovela Side by Side and telemoveie A Day for a Miracle.
