Fox Japan preps ten-day continuous NCIS marathon
The Fox channel in Japan will run an uninterrupted ten-day marathon of CBS procedural NCIS.
The transmission, which will be marked as the longest ever by Guinness World Records, will run from December 29 to January 8 and will see all episodes from seasons one to ten of NCIS shown in order.
The eleventh season of the international hit series will then debut on Fox Japan in February.
The series’ executive producer Gary Glasberg said: “Ten full days of NCIS! I wish the cast and crew could be in Japan to witness this extraordinary accomplishment. What a wonderful gift to ring in the New Year. ”
The series is on CBS in the US and is distributed internationally by CBS Studios International. The show was recently named as the most valuable US imported drama in Europe and is, as the Fox Japan marathon proves, also popular in Asia.
There is already an NCIS: Los Angeles and CBS is currently working on a new NCIS spin-off set in LA, which is expected to launch in the US next year.
