Sixteen South develops kids book Claude

Northern Ireland-based animation producer Sixteen South is developing a 52x11mins series based on picture book about a beret-wearing dog.

Claude is based on Alex T. Smith’s book series of the same name and will target boys and girls aged 4-6.

The 2D show will follow the titular character as he explores the world around his home, meeting with local people and getting into adventures.

Sixteen South’s founder and creative director Colin Williams and head of development Emily Whinnet are leading developing, with scripts coming from Davey Moore, Tim Harper directing and music from Mark Gordon.

Sixteen South counts Sesame Tree, Pajanimals and Driftwood Bay among its credits.
