Sony’s AXN Black acquires lifestyle series

Sony Pictures Television’s pay TV channel AXN Black has picked up a package of lifestyle titles from Canada-based distributor Peace Point.

Sony launched the AXN Black and AXN White channel brands in Central and Eastern Europe earlier this year with the new former replacing AXN Sci-Fi and the latter AXN Crime in the region.

AXN Black, which is male-skewing, has acquired 13x30mins food and nutrition series Body Fuel, 26x30mins food invention series Food Jammers and 10x30mins junk into treasure series Hammer and Chew.

AXN Black is distributed across Central Europe including Poland, Romania, Hungary, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
