Zuku to expand out of East Africa
Wananchi Group-owned pay TV business Zuku will broadcast its channels outside of East Africa for the first time after signing a deal with Seychelles-based cable operator Intelvision.
The three year licensing deal covers Zuku Life, all four Zuku Movies channels and Zuku Swahili Movies, with Intelvision due to start carrying the networks on November 1.
“We’re very pleased that our channels will be travelling outside of the borders of East Africa for the first time, and we hope that viewers in the Seychelles will be entertained by the programming we are offering. We are looking forward to a long and prosperous relationship with Intelvision,” said Hannelie Bekker, managing director of Wananchi Programming.
