US broadcaster NBC is bringing back classic crime drama Murder, She Wrote.

The original show ran for years on CBS and sold around the world and now NBC has tapped Octavia Spencer in the starring role that Angela Lansbury played.

David Janollari and Alexandra Cunningham are executive producing the new version, which Deadline first reported overnight.
