Esquire Network staffs up

NBC Universal-owned US cable channel Esquire Network has made a trio of hires, all from other NBCU channels.

The fledgling net launched on September 23, replacing NBCU’s female-skewed Style Network. It has recruited Dave Serwatka as vice president, current programming, Jamie French as vice president, communications and Marta Harmon as VP, marketing.

Serwatka will oversee the network’s current programming division, and report to Matt Hanna, head of original programming. He joins from NBCU’s Bravo where, in a nine-year stint, he exec-produced shows including Top Chef and The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

Jamie French will manage program publicity and talent relations, reporting to head of communications Katherine Nelson. He joins from NBCU’s Style.

Marta Harmon will oversee consumer, trade and event marketing, reporting to Deena Stern, senior VP, marketing and digital. She also joins from Style where she was vice president, consumer marketing.
