DCD picks up rights to UKTV shows
DCD Rights has picked up rights to two series from UKTV and will launch them internationally.
The UK-based distributor has acquired 15x60mins series My Dream Derelict Home and 30x60mins Nick Knowles’ Original Features (pictured).
My Dream Derelict Home is made by UK indie True North and follows property renovator Simon O’Brien as he helps people create their dream home.
Nick Knowles’ Original Features is made in-house by the BBC and follows the titular host and with archaeologist Dr. Cassie Newland on a journey through architectural history.
DCD said it concluded the deal at MIPCOM with UKTV’s head of programme distribution and strategy, Jonathan Newman and DCD Rights’ CEO Nicky Davies Williams signing the agreement.
UKTV runs a bouquet of digital channels in the UK and is a joint venture between BBC Worldwide and Scripps Networks Interactive.
