News brief: ITV orders factual from Shiver

UK commercial channel ITV has ordered a trio of factual shows from Shiver, the factual prodco owned by ITV Studios.

The shows are the 1x45mins I Shot 2013, which will chart the year’s largest news stories; 1x60mins Being Poirot, which will see David Suchet, who played the Belgium detective for 25 years, explore the appeal of the character; and Ade at Sea, a 6x30mins series in which comedian Ade Edmondson (Bottom) explores Britain’s maritime past.

ITV Studios’ entertainment team has also been commissioned to create a 10x30mins Christmas special series of University Challenge for BBC Two.
