English-language broadcasters buy French drama The Returned

Broadcasters in Australia and Canada have acquired French-language drama series The Returned.

The show is produced by Haut & Cort for French premium pay broadcaster Canal+ and is distributed by Zodiak Rights.

In Canada Bell Media has picked up rights and in Australia, public broadcaster SBS has acquired the show. Bell will show it on its specialty channel Space.

The show has sold well internationally with Channel 4 in the UK buying it and broadcasters including Sundance Channel in the US, Hot in Israel and SVT in Sweden also picking it up.
