News brief: Fox pacts with Eyeworks for scripted series

Fox Television Studios has signed a development deal with European production house Eyeworks Group in a bid to find new scripted series.

FTVS has previously scored big with The Killing, which was based Scandinavian scripted format Forbrydelsen.

The new pact has come about as FTVS wants to actively source the next big European scripted hit, rather than “wait for finished product to come to us”, according to FTVS president David Madden.
