David Goldberg out at Endemol

David Goldberg is leaving Endemol USA at the end of the year.

The chairman and CEO of Endemol’s North American division has been with the company for over a decade having been brought in by John de Mol in 2000 to build a US business.

Goldberg will depart in December but remain as a consultant on Steve Harvey, the syndicated daytime talkshow that he launched.

Endemol said that “further announcements about the structure of Endemol North America’s senior management in 2014 will be made in due course”.

David Goldberg said: “Leaving my position as chairman and CEO of Endemol North America is bitter-sweet. It is time for me to try something new and I am excited about the possibilities.”

Tim Hincks, president of Endemol Group added: “David helped ensure Endemol USA grew from a start-up company into one of America’s most significant content creators and producers. We are hugely grateful for what he has achieved and the company is in great shape for the future.”

Endemol USA’s credits include Extreme Makeover: Home Edition and Wipeout for ABC, NBC’s Fear Factor and CBS’ Big Brother.
