News brief: Jay-Z, Showtime get Made in America

US cable channel Showtime will launch a new documentary from rapper Jay-Z and filmmakers Ron Howard and Brian Glazer.

Made in America will launch on the CBS-owned channel on October 11 at 9pm ET/PT, chronicling the Made in America festival Jay-Z, real name Sean Caret, put together last year.

RadicalMedia and Participant Media produce, with Howard’s Imagine Entertainment among the other companies attached.
