News brief: Lionsgate teams Tandem for drama

Lionsgate Entertainment and Germany-based Tandem Communications will co-develop one-hour high end drama series under terms of a new co-venture.

Crime drama Sex, Lies and Handwriting is the first project to come out of the pact, with Lionsgate’s Canadian co-venture partner Sea To Sky Entertainment also coproducing.

The programme follows an international handwriting expert who gets drawn into crime solving thanks to her exceptional gifts and is based on a novel of the same name.
