Saban and The CW’s Vortexx swallows three new kids shows
Vortexx, the kids programming block on US broadcast network The CW, has unveiled its new programming line-up, which includes three new series.
The five-hour weekly block runs on The CW between 7am and noon every Saturday. It is run by Saban Brands and the new line-up launches this Saturday, August 17.
The new titles are B-Daman Crossfire, The Spectacular Spider-Man and The Adventures of Chuck & Friends.
B-Daman Crossfire follows a young boy as he seeks to find out more about a mythical tournament involving the fictional B-Daman toys. In Japan the anime series airs on TV Tokyo.
The Spectacular Spider-Man originally aired on The CW’s predecessor The WB before then going out on Disney XD.
Educational series The Adventures of Chuck & Friends, will air in the educational and informational hour that opens the Vortexx block. The preschool show is a copro between Hasbro Studios and Nelvana and originally went out on Hasbro and Discovery joint venture channel The Hub.
Vortexx confirmed its current top series Sonic X, Justice League Unlimited and Dragonball Z Kai will also feature in the new-look block.
