News brief: Beyond launching pre-school Pipsqueaks

Australian free-to-air network Seven has ordered a second 45x30mins series of Pipsqueaks and Beyond Distribution will launch the preschool show at MIPJunior in October.

The series is made by Beyond’s production arm and features four puppet friends, Sassy, Peppy, Poppy and Squidge, who live in an adventure playground and interact with preschoolers through talking, dancing and games.

Beyond Distribution, which has bases in the northern and southern hemispheres and is now run by Michael Murphy, is best known for Mythbusters, but sells a handful of kids series including Toybox, Milly Molly and Lab Rats Challenge.
