HBO orders more True Blood
Premium US cable network HBO has ordered another season of vampire drama True Blood.
The new, seventh, season will launch next summer.
The show, which was created by Alan Ball (Six Feet Under) and based on the Charlaine Harris novels, launched in 2008.
“True Blood remains a signature show for HBO, and a true phenomenon with our viewers,” said Michael Lombardo, president, HBO programming. “Thanks to [showrunner] Brian Buckner and his talented team, the show continues to be a thrill ride like nothing else on TV.”
