Nottingham Forest sends Sendokai into Saban’s Vortexx
Spanish indie producer Nottingham Forest has sold its animated series Sendokai Champions to Vortexx, the weekly kids programming block on US broadcast network The CW.
Vortexx is run by Saban Brands, which as part of the broadcast deal will handle licensing and merchandising rights to Sendokai in North America and Israel.
“Our affiliation with Saban Brands is an important step to ‘Sendokai Champions’ because it is a powerful group that will enhance the brand and will help to make it grow internationally,” said David Pérez Andrés, sales and business development director of Nottingham Forest.
Sendokai is distributed by Nottingham Forest and produced by Kotoc and Spanish pubcaster TVE
It follows four humans as they compete in an intergalactic tournament in order to save the earth. In Spain it airs on TVE’s Clan. Cartoon Network has pay TV rights to the series throughout Latin America.
In the US, Vortexx runs on The CW from 7am to noon every Saturday.
