eOne acquires L&M firm
Entertainment One has expanded its licensing capabilities with the acquisition of US-based brand agency Art Impressions.
The deal is the latest acquisition for the growing Canada and UK-based eOne, which last year acquired film distributor Alliance Atlantis.
Other previous deals include Australian distributor Hopscotch Group, UK producer Contender and Benelux vendor RCV Entertainment, and Canuck firms Blueprint Entertainment, Barna Alpa Productions, Oasis International, Maximum Films and Seville Pictures.
The firm moved into the licensing in 2010 on the back of the runaway success of Peppa Pig, the kids’ series from Astley Baker Davies it distributes globally. “Our team is now well-positioned to develop and secure key brands that emerge from both the traditional television avenues and pop culture and digital space,” said eOne Licensing and eOne Family managing director Olivier Dumont.
