More nets experience Magnificent Century

Broadcasters in China, Italy and Lithuania have licensed Turkish drama Magnificent Century.

The show, will go into its fourth season in Turkey next year, has gone to Chinese pubcaster CCTV, Italian multi-ethnic broadcaster Babel and Lithuanian commercial channel LNK.

It tells the story of a Sultan and his wife and their dramatic, underhanded and violent role in the rise of the Ottoman Empire. It comes from TIMS Productions.

Century has been a major seller for distributor Global Agency around the world, with CEO Izzet Pinto claiming it has now reaches a total audience of more than 200 million across 48 territories.

Global also sells other Turkish drams such as The Butterfly Dream, Game of Silence and Iffet.
