News brief: CMT poaches Turner veteran for programming role
Viacom-owned cable net CMT has tapped Turner Broadcasting System for its new VP, programming and strategy.
Hector Campos will take on the new role after more than a decade with Turner, during which time he held a number of roles, most recently director of programme acquisitions and sales for Turner Entertainment Networks.
Campos will be responsible for overseeing short term schedules for CMTs linear and VOD platforms, and will oversee the day-to-day management of the programme planning and scheduling department. Effectively immediately, he reports to senior VP, programming strategy and acquisitions Katie Buchanan and is based out of CMT’s Nashville headquarters.
