Audio Network hires Johnson from Warners
Music rights business Audio Network has hired Ali Johnson as its new global head of music.
Johnson joins from Warner Music where he was director of licensing. At Audio Network he will work across all departments and develop plans to best utilise the 62,000-track catalogue.
Johnson said: “Having had a varied career in the music industry working as a consultant, music director and composer in areas such as theatre, film & television, advertising and corporate branding before joining Warner UK, the role at Audio Network feels like the perfect opportunity for me to draw on both my creative and commercial background.”
Andrew Sunnucks, Audio Network’s co-founder and chairman said, “Ali is a crucial cog in our plans to increase our output massively whilst taking the range to the next level.”
Audio Network works with producers and media companies to offer its rights-cleared music for their content, avoiding problematic clearance issues. Its clients include the BBC, HBO, MTV, National Geographic and Endemol.
