Power inks multi-regional wildlife deal with Animal Planet

Power has shopped a pair of its wildlife documentaries to Discovery.

The UK-based producer and distributor is best known for its TV movies and miniseries, but also has a catalogue of wildlife documentaries from NHU Africa.

It has sold Saving Rhino Phila, about a rhino that has miraculously escaped poachers, to Discovery, which has taken rights across the EMEA region and will show the doc on its Animal Planet channel.

The same title was recently picked up by Animal Planet in the US.

Discovery has also taken EMEA and Asian rights to Predator’s Playground (pictured), looking at wildlife in Zimbabwe.

Both shows are produced by NHU Africa.
