News brief: TNT returns to Dallas
US cable channel TNT has commissioned a third season of its Dallas reboot.
The new 15-episode season will launch on the Turner Broadcasting System-owned network in 2014, again produced by Warner Horizon Television.
The Dallas franchise returned to TV screens last year after a 21-year hiatus but recently been dealing with the loss of Larry Hagman (pictured below, fourth left), who played breakout character J.R. Ewing but passed away in November. However, season two has still averaged 3.8 million viewers based on Live+7, including 1.6 million 25-54s and 1.4 million 18-49s.
