News brief: Crash & Bernstein returns to Disney XD

Disney XD has ordered a second season of live-action ‘bro-mance’ comedy Crash & Bernstein.

The show, which comes from prolific Disney affiliate producer It’s A Laugh Productions, will return into production in California ahead of a summer 2013 premiere.

The series follows an everyday kid living in a household of women and his surrogate ‘brother’ – an unpredictable puppet.

Adam Bonnett, senior VP, original programming, Disney Channels Worldwide, said: “Disney XD continues to push creative boundaries for a sitcom and Crash & Bernstein delivers on this promise week in, week out. Crash has quickly become an iconic character on the network, and we look forward to a second season of more purple attitude and disruptive fun with this talented cast and creative team.”
